Partnering with Defence Science and Technology Agency (DSTA) and DSO National Laboratories, VJC organises an annual robotics competition for primary and secondary school students. Students are given a challenge in which they are required to build at least a robot with VEX or Lego Mindstorm EV3 parts in order to attain the highest point possible. This challenge is meant to put students' creativity, innovation and teamwork to the test. VRMC is the main student body that is involved in the organisation of this challenge. As part of the Victoria Science Mathematics and Research Talent Development Programme (VSMART), VJC, together with A*STAR, organises Science Fair, a STEM-related competition. The Science Fair not only provides enrichment opportunities for the participating schools, they are also a platform for Victorians to plan, lead and run activities for other students, thus spreading their passion and interest in science and technology. VRMC moderated a webinar about 3D Food Printing involving guest speakers Associate Professor Stylianos Dritsas and Head of EPD Prof Chua Chee Kai. For more information, click here
